If a design creates magic within its surroundings and establishes a charming atmosphere, then I will be happy as a designer

Amanda Taarup Betz Architect, 1978
Amanda Taarup Betz graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2005.
Her award-winning work, which has been exhibited in galleries and museums, fuses art and architecture with design.
For the recent exhibition ‘FOLD’, Amanda created a number of folded and pleated objects, one of which was an early version of the lamp 'Cassiopeia'. Through an experimental process, Amanda succeeded in creating a unique pattern of octagons in the central surface of the lamp.
A first in Le Klint’s history, the lamp has small perforations on the folded surfaces allowing rays of light to radiate from the lamp. The result is a playful display of light that is beautiful in any space.
