Michael Bang

Michael Bang was originally trained in ceramics. However, after a couple of years working at the Ekenas Glassworks in Sweden, glass became his preferred artistic medium.

From 1968 he was associated with Kastrup and Holmegaard's glassworks as in-house designer. His task was to steer production in a more artistic direction.

Michael Bang has also produced a number of ornamentation works, e.g. the SiD School in Svendborg and the United Vinegar Breweries building in Copenhagen.
