Fashion Student Katja Knudsen was already nationally known in Denmark, when she was asked to design the gift from the outgoing Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen to his successor Helle Thorning Schmidt after the election in Denmark 2011.
Katja Knudsen has specialized in handbag design and the gift to the new prime minister was a bag. The imaginative bag is made of paper, produced by folded and merged papers from the budget Bill 2012, and was subsequently known as "The Budget Bag".
